Weather was not the best…but the city is great. So I went straight to the KL Petronas Towers..
The Petronas Towers, also known as the Petronas Twin Towers (Malay: Menara Petronas, or Menara Berkembar Petronas) are twin skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. According to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH)’s official definition and ranking, they were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 and remain the tallest twin towers in the world replacing World Trade Center in New York. The buildings are a landmark of Kuala Lumpur, along with nearby Kuala Lumpur Tower.
The next day was way more beautiful…So I went back to the KL Towers…to take some better shots Of course with some jumping action..
The KL Tower…in the back! I will go there tomorrow..
Plan for today…walking to the Batu Caves, which are 12km away from the Petronas Towers….so lets go!!
There were some poor areas on my way..
Finally I made it to the Caves..
Batu Caves (Tamil: பத்து மலை) is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in the Gombak district, 13 km north of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It takes its name from the Sungai Batu or Batu River, which flows past the hill. Batu Caves is also the name of the nearby village.
The cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, and is dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of Hindu festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia.
The next part…climbing up the stairs to the actual cave
made it…fun fact inside the cave were even more monkeys than tourists..
Monkeys…one of the stole my plastic bag
The huge cave!!!!
that’s basically it…
on my way home some more monkeys and the pigeon man..
